What is a postpartum doula?
A postpartum doula is your guide through the transformative Fourth Trimester. As your doula, I will focus on your needs as you recover from the birth experience and transition into parenthood.
I provide nourishment, comfort, education, modeling, coaching, deep listening, and emotional support as you and your parenting partner regain your strength and build confidence parenting your newborn.

- a child in or transitioning from NICU
- multiples
- infants with identified disabilities

Services Tailored For Your Family
Your Postpartum Doulas Services May Include:
- Birth processing; physically and emotionally
- Newborn care education
- Post pregnancy healing and recovery
- Meal and snack prep
- Organize family and friend support
- Support breast, bottle, combo feeding
- Screen for postpartum depression & anxiety
- Light housecleaning
- Baby wearing training
- Sleep relief
- Provide community resources
- Sibling support
Parent Coaching Services:
- New or recurring behaviors
- Sleep transgressions
- Schedule and routines support
$40/hr. Minimum of 3 hours per shift for Portland-Metro doula clients. Prepay for a package of 20+ hours and receive a 5% discount. Sample packages are below. My rate does not change for overnights, multiples or special needs. Payment plans and gift registry available. Virtual parent coaching sessions are 1 hour.
Bringing Home Baby
$900
Package includes:
- 20 hours of daytime or overnight services.
- 1-2 hr virtual or in-person postnatal planning (if purchased prior to baby's birth).
- Focused on first 3 weeks after birth.
Fourth Trimester
$3,180
Package includes:
- 80 hours of daytime or overnight services.
- 1-2 hr virtual or in-person postnatal planning (if purchased prior to baby's birth).
- To be used by baby's 12th week, adjusted as needed.
Beyond Baby
$190
Package includes:
- 4 1-hr weekly virtual
parent coaching sessions
- 1 hr in-home routines and environment assessment,
if in the Portland area.
About Mindy
I am passionate about the health of young children and families, in all their unique beauty. For the last 25 years I have been an Early Intervention Specialist and Early Childhood Special Education teacher. As a postpartum doula, I love working with families in their home, using the equipment and materials they have available and meeting each person where they are emotionally, mentally and experientially.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, being on the water, exploring trails, spending time with my adult daughter, and snuggling my aging dachshund, Ruby.
